Starry Fluff Dress

Fluffy Ruffle Hem

Change to CC2 (fluffy yarn). Switch to US 8 (5 mm) needle if desired for extra fluff. Ruffle set-up rnd: *K1, kfb; rep from * around. (sts doubled) Next rnd: Knit. Ruffle increase rnd: *K1, kfb; rep from * around. (sts tripled from pre-ruffle count) [Inline: XS 192 → 384 → 576 sts ✓; proportions hold for all sizes] Knit 6 (6, 7, 7, 8) rnds even. Sleeves (make 2)

Place held 36 (42, 48, 54, 60) sleeve sts onto US 7 DPNs or magic loop. With MC, pick up and knit 4 (4, 4, 6, 6) sts across underarm CO, pm for beg of rnd. 40 (46, 52, 60, 66) sts. Knit 2 rnds. Puff increase rnd: *K1, kfb; rep from * around. 60 (69, 78, 90, 99) sts. Work even in St st until sleeve measures 4 (4.5, 5, 5, 5.5)" / 10 (11.5, 12.5, 12.5, 14) cm from underarm. Decrease rnd (gather for blousey cuff): *K1, k2tog; rep from * to last 0 (0, 0, 0, 0) sts, k any remainder. Approx 40 (46, 52, 60, 66) sts remain. Knit 4 rnds even for cuff. BO loosely.

Star (Duplicate Stitch)

Block dress lightly first if desired. Locate center front of bodice: count to middle of front stitches, roughly 3–4" / 7.5–10 cm down from front neckline (adjust for personal preference so star sits at upper chest). Using CC1 and tapestry needle, work a simple 15-st × 15-rnd star centered on the front using duplicate stitch (also called Swiss darning). Finishing

• Weave in all ends securely on WS, taking care with fluffy yarn ends (tie small knots if needed then weave).
