# **Two-Toned Heart Amigurumi**

**Yarn**: Worsted weight (#4 Medium)
- MC (Main Color): 50 yards (46 m) - for outer heart

## **PATTERN NOTES**

**Construction**: This heart is made of two identical flat pieces worked from the bottom point upward. The pieces are then seamed together and stuffed.

**Color Work**: The inner heart is worked using the intarsia method. When changing colors, twist yarns on the wrong side to avoid holes. For beginners: carry the unused color loosely across the back, or use separate small balls/bobbins for each color section.

**Reading the Pattern**: The inner heart is shown in **bold** in the written instructions. Follow the chart or written instructions - both give the same result.

## **FINISHING**

1. **Weave in Ends**: Weave in all color change ends on the wrong side of each piece.

2. **Block (optional)**: Lightly steam or wet block both pieces to even out stitches and help pieces lay flat.

3. **Seam**: Place both heart pieces together with wrong sides facing (RS facing out). Using MC and tapestry needle, seam around entire edge using whipstitch or mattress stitch, leaving a 2-3" opening at the bottom point for stuffing.

4. **Stuff**: Fill heart firmly with polyester fiberfill, making sure to push stuffing into the top lobes. Don't overstuff - heart should be plump but not stretched.

5. **Close Opening**: Seam remaining opening closed.

6. **Final Touches**: Weave in any remaining ends. Shape heart with your hands to define the curves.
