Bear Coaster Knitting Pattern
Create an adorable round bear coaster that lies flat with cute little ears, perfect for size 8 needles. This pattern is great for knitters of all skill levels!
Materials:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in your choice of color (approx. 50g)
- Needles: US Size 8 / UK Size 6 / 5mm knitting needles
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Cast on: CO 6 stitches using the long tail cast on method.
- Body: Knit in the round for 8 rows.
- Round 9: Kfb in each stitch (12 sts).
- Rounds 10-15: Knit all stitches.
- Round 16: K2tog around (6 sts).
- Finishing: Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close. Weave in ends.
- Ears (make 2): CO 3 sts. Work in garter stitch (knit every row) for 4 rows. BO all stitches.
- Finishing: Attach ears to the top of the coaster, positioning them as bear ears.
