Pattern

  1. Using the long tail cast on method, cast on 160 stitches with the black yarn.
  2. Row 1 (RS): With MC, knit all stitches.
  3. Row 2 (WS): With MC, purl all stitches.
  4. Rows 3-5: Repeat Rows 1 and 2.
  5. Row 6: With CC, *k1, p1; repeat from * to end of row.
  6. Row 7: With CC, *p1, k1; repeat from * to end of row.
  7. Rows 8-10: Repeat Rows 6 and 7.
  8. Rows 11-15: With MC, knit all stitches.
  9. Repeat Rows 6-15 until the blanket measures 60 inches from the cast on edge, ending with a MC section.
  10. Bind off all stitches knitwise.
  11. Weave in ends and block the blanket to measurements.
