This pattern is for a size medium. The finished bust circumference is approximately 36 inches.
Pattern:
- Back: Using US 6 needles, cast on 94 stitches. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 1 inch.
- Change to US 8 needles and stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) until the piece measures 14 inches from cast on edge.
- Shape armholes: Bind off 5 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Continue in stockinette stitch until armhole measures 8 inches.
- Shape shoulders: Bind off 5 stitches at the beginning of the next 4 rows. Bind off remaining stitches.
- Front: Work the same as the back until armhole measures 7 inches.
- Shape neck: Work 40 stitches and place on holder. Bind off center 14 stitches. Working each side separately, decrease 1 stitch at the neck edge every other row 3 times. Work even until armhole measures 8 inches. Shape shoulders same as back.
