Pattern: Cozy Cable Knit Blanket

Materials:

• Yarn: Super Bulky weight yarn (US size 6-7, UK size 5-7, Metric size 9-10 mm), approximately 1500 yards (1372 meters)
• Knitting needles: US size 15, UK size 10, Metric size 10 mm
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

8 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch

Size:

Approximately 40 inches (102 cm) wide and 60 inches (152 cm) long

Abbreviations:

• K: Knit
• P: Purl
• C4F: Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold at front of work, knit next 2 stitches, then knit 2 stitches from cable needle
• C4B: Slip next 2 stitches onto cable needle and hold at back of work, knit next 2 stitches, then knit 2 stitches from cable needle

Pattern:

Cast on 120 stitches.

Row 1 (Right Side): K5, *C4F, K4, repeat from * until last 5 stitches, K5.

Row 2 and all even rows: Purl all stitches.

Row 3: K5, *K4, C4B, repeat from * until last 5 stitches, K5.

Row 5: Repeat Row 1.

Row 7: Repeat Row 3.

Row 9: Repeat Row 1.

Row 11: Repeat Row 3.

Row 12: Purl all stitches.

Repeat Rows 1-12: Continue repeating Rows 1-12 until blanket measures approximately 60 inches (152 cm) long.

Bind off: Knit all stitches on the right side, then bind off.

Weave in ends: Use a tapestry needle to weave in any loose ends of yarn.
