Dog Sweater Knitting Pattern

Materials:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (UK Aran, Metric 10 ply), 200 yards (183 meters)
- Needles: US 8 (UK 6, Metric 5mm) knitting needles

Gauge:
18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Instructions:
- Using the long-tail cast on, cast on 80 stitches.
- Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 1 inch.
- Continue in stockinette stitch until the piece measures 8 inches from the cast on edge.
- Shape armholes: Bind off 4 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
- Next row: Knit across all stitches.
