1. Using dark grey yarn, chain 32
2. Row 1: Starting in the 2nd ch from hook, sc across, turn (31 sts)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, *dc in next st, sc in next st; repeat from * across, turn
4. Row 3: Ch 2 (counts as dc here and throughout), *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across, turn
5. Rows 4-6: Repeat Rows 2-3 alternating colors between dark grey and scarlet every 2 rows
6. Continue repeating Rows 2-3, gradually shifting colors between dark grey and scarlet in stripes
7. Repeat until scarf reaches desired length
8. Fasten off and weave in ends
