Easy Amigurumi Lion

This adorable lion amigurumi is perfect for beginners and requires only yellow and orange yarn. The best part is that there is no sewing involved!

Materials:

• Yellow yarn (Worsted Weight/UK Aran/10 ply) - 50g
• Orange yarn (Worsted Weight/UK Aran/10 ply) - 30g
• 3.5mm crochet hook (US E/4, UK 9) for body
• 3mm crochet hook (US C/2, UK 11) for details
• Scissors
• Fiberfill stuffing

Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• inc - increase (2 single crochets in the same stitch)
• dec - decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)

Body:

1. With yellow yarn, make a magic ring and sc 6 in the ring. Pull tight. (6)
2. Round 1: Inc in each st around. (12)
3. Round 2: *Sc, inc* around. (18)
4. Round 3: *Sc 2, inc* around. (24)
5. Rounds 4-8: Sc around. (24)
6. Round 9: *Sc 2, dec* around. (18)
7. Round 10: *Sc, dec* around. (12)
8. Round 11: Dec around. (6)
9. Fasten off and leave a long tail for closing.

Assembly:

1. Stuff the body firmly with fiberfill.
