Girls Waistcoat Knitting Pattern
An intermediate-level knitting project. Worked in pieces and seamed.

20 stitches x 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Pattern
- Back Panel:
- Cast on 50 (56, 62) stitches.
- Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 8 (9, 10) inches.
- Next row (buttonhole row): K3, yo, k2tog, knit to end.
- Continue in stockinette stitch for 2 more rows, bind off.
- Front Panels (make 2):
- Cast on 25 (28, 31) stitches.
- Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures same as back to underarm.
- Next row (buttonhole row): Knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog, yo, k1.
- Repeat the last 3 rows until piece measures same as back panel, bind off.
- Finishing:
- Sew shoulder seams of back and front panels.
- Sew side seams leaving a 4-inch armhole.
- Pick up stitches along the neckline and work 2 rows of single crochet.
- Sew on buttons evenly spaced along the button band.
- Weave in all ends and block your garment for the best finish.
