Materials

Instructions

Scarf Body:

1. Cast on 30 stitches.
2. Row 1: Knit all stitches.
3. Row 2: Purl all stitches.
4. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until scarf measures 8 inches from the beginning, ending with a purl row.
5. Heart Shaping:
   • Row 1: K12, ssk, k6, k2tog, k12.
   • Row 2: Purl all stitches.
   • Row 3: K11, ssk, k6, k2tog, k11.
   • Row 4: Purl all stitches.
   • Row 5: K10, ssk, k6, k2tog, k10.
   • Row 6: Purl all stitches.
   • Continue in this pattern, decreasing 1 stitch before and after the center 6 stitches until there are only 8 stitches left.
6. Scarf Body:
   • Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until scarf measures 52 inches from the beginning, ending with a purl row.

Scarf Border:

1. Row 1: Knit all stitches.
2. Row 2: Purl all stitches.
3. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 four more times.
4. Bind off all stitches.

Finishing

1. Weave in all loose ends using the tapestry needle.
2. Block the scarf to desired measurements.
