Kangaroo Amigurumi Pattern

Level: Intermediate

Size: Approximately 6 inches tall

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in brown, white, and pink
• Size US 4/UK 8/3.5mm knitting needles
• Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Black embroidery floss for nose

Body (Make 1)

With brown yarn, cast on 6 stitches

Row 1: Knit across

Row 2: Purl across

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until piece measures 3 inches

Next row: Knit 2 together across (3 stitches remain)

Break yarn, draw through remaining stitches and pull tight. Fold in half and sew side seam.

Legs (Make 2)

With brown yarn, cast on 4 stitches

Work in Stockinette stitch for 1 inch

Decrease row: Knit 2 together, knit 2 (3 stitches remain)

Break yarn, draw through remaining stitches and pull tight. Sew legs to body.

Tail

With brown yarn, cast on 3 stitches

Knit i-cord for 2 inches, bind off. Sew tail to body.

Ears (Make 2)

With brown yarn, cast on 3 stitches

Row 1: Knit across

Row 2: Purl across

Row 3: Knit 2 together, knit 1

Row 4: Purl across

Row 5: Knit 2 together

Break yarn, draw through remaining stitch and pull tight. Sew ears to head.

Finishing

Stuff body firmly and sew closed. Embroider nose with black floss. Cut small oval from white yarn for belly and pink yarn for inner ears, sew in place.
