Short Row Crescent Shawl
Description:

Materials Needed:
- Yarn: Fingering weight yarn (US 1, UK 12-13, Metric 2.25-3.25 mm) - 400 yards
- Needles: US 6 (UK 8, Metric 4 mm) circular needles, at least 32 inches in length
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Instructions:
- Using long-tail cast on, cast on 5 stitches.
- Row 1: Knit.
- Row 2: Kfb, knit to end. (6 stitches)
- Repeat Row 2 until you have 50 stitches on your needle.
- Short rows: Knit 15 stitches, wrap and turn. Purl 30 stitches, wrap and turn. Knit to end.
- Continue short rows, making sure to wrap and turn, until you have 80 stitches on your needle.
- Next row: Knit across all stitches, picking up wraps as you come to them.
- Continue knitting in stockinette stitch until your shawl measures 18 inches from the cast-on edge.
- Bind off loosely and weave in ends.
