Simple Vest Knitting Pattern
This simple vest pattern is perfect for beginner knitters and is a versatile addition to any wardrobe. The vest is knit flat in four separate pieces - front, back, and two sides. It features a classic V-neckline and can be customized with different stitch patterns or colors.
Materials:

Gauge:
18 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Instructions:
- Back Panel: Cast on 60 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 18 inches from cast on edge.
- Front Panel: Cast on 30 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 18 inches from cast on edge.
- Side Panels (make 2): Cast on 20 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 12 inches from cast on edge.
- Assembly: Sew side panels to front and back panels. Seam shoulders. Pick up stitches around armholes and neckline. Work in rib stitch for 1 inch. Bind off all stitches.
