Traveling Vine Lace Raglan Pattern

Description:

This pattern creates a beautiful traveling vine lace design on a raglan sweater, perfect for intermediate level knitters.

Gauge:

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Sizing:

Pattern is written for size XS. S (M, L, XL, XXL).

Instructions:

  1. Back: Cast on 72 (78, 84, 90, 96) stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 4 inches.
  2. Begin traveling vine lace pattern:
  3. Row 1: K1, (YO, SKP) twice, K2tog, (YO, K1) 5 times, YO, SKP, K2tog, (YO, SKP) twice, K1
  4. Continue in pattern until piece measures 12 (12.5, 13, 13.5, 14) inches.
  5. Raglan Shaping: Bind off 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows, then decrease 1 stitch at each raglan seam every other row 8 (9, 10, 11, 12) times.
  6. Continue in stockinette stitch until piece measures 18 (18.5, 19, 19.5, 20) inches.
  7. Bind off all stitches.
  8. Front: Same as back.
  9. Sleeves (Make 2): Cast on 36 (38, 40, 42, 44) stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 2 inches.
