Two-color Men's Hat Knitting Pattern
This pattern will guide you through creating a stylish and cozy two-color men's hat.
Materials Needed:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors
(Imperial Needle Size: US 8, UK 6, Metric Needle Size: 5mm)
- Knitting Needles: Double-pointed needles (DPNs)
(Imperial Needle Size: US 6, UK 8, Metric Needle Size: 4mm)

Gauge:
20 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Pattern:
- Using Color A, cast on 96 stitches onto DPNs. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
- Ribbing:
- Round 1-10: *K2, P2; repeat from * around.
- Body of the Hat:
- Rounds 11-20: With Color B, knit all stitches.
- Rounds 21-30: With Color A, knit all stitches.
- Repeat Rounds 11-30 twice more for a total of 6 color stripes, ending with Color B.
- Crown Shaping:
- Round 1: *K6, K2tog; repeat from * around.
- Round 2: Knit all stitches.
- Round 3: *K5, K2tog; repeat from * around.
- Round 4: Knit all stitches.
- Continue in this manner, knitting 1 less stitch between decreases each decrease round until 8 stitches remain.
- Finishing: Cut yarn, leaving a tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close. Weave in ends and block if desired.
