Adult Men's Beanie Pattern
Skills Required: Intermediate
Size: Adult Men
Needle Size: 5.5mm (US 9, UK 5) circular needles
Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (Imperial size 4, Metric size 10)
Gauge: 18 stitches x 24 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Cast On:
Using a long-tail cast on, cast on 88 stitches onto your circular needles. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
Ribbing:
Round 1: *K2, P2, repeat from * to end of round
Rounds 2-10: Repeat Round 1
Body:
Rounds 11-26: Knit all stitches
Decrease Rounds:
Switch to double-pointed needles when needed
Round 27: *K2, K2tog, repeat from * to end of round (66 stitches remaining)
Round 28: Knit all stitches
Round 29: *K1, K2tog, repeat from * to end of round (44 stitches remaining)
Round 30: Knit all stitches
Round 31: *K2tog, repeat from * to end of round (22 stitches remaining)
Round 32: *K2tog, repeat from * to end of round (11 stitches remaining)
Finishing:
Break yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close the top of the beanie. Weave in ends.
Optional: Add a faux fur pom-pom to the top of the beanie for extra style!
