Aqua Green and Gold Granny Square Pattern
This pattern creates a beautiful 15 by 15 granny square blanket using aqua green and gold yarn. Each square measures approximately 5 inches (12.7 cm) when using a 4mm crochet hook.
Materials:
- Light worsted weight yarn in aqua green
- Light worsted weight yarn in gold
- 4mm (US G/6, UK 8) crochet hook
Instructions:
- Start with a magic ring using aqua green yarn.
- Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as 1 DC), 2 DC into the ring, chain 2. *3 DC into the ring, chain 2. Repeat from * two more times. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain. Fasten off.
- Round 2: Join gold yarn in any chain 2 space. Chain 3 (counts as 1 DC), 2 DC in the same space. *3 DC in the next chain 2 space. 3 DC, chain 2, 3 DC in the next chain 2 space (corner made). Repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain. Fasten off.
- Repeat Round 2, alternating between aqua green and gold for each round, until the square reaches 15 by 15 squares.
- Weave in all ends and block your squares if necessary.
- Join the squares together using your preferred method.
- Border: Join aqua green yarn in any corner. Chain 3 (counts as 1 DC), 2 DC in the same space. *DC in each stitch across to the next corner. 3 DC, chain 2, 3 DC in the corner. Repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain. Fasten off.
