Chenille Cat Plushie Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Super Bulky Chenille Yarn (Weight 6) in Pink, 300g (10.5 oz, 120m/131yds)
• Crochet Hook: US N/15 (10.0mm), UK Old 000, Metric 10.0mm
• Scissors
• Yarn Needle
• Polyester Fiberfill for stuffing

Abbreviations:

• Ch - Chain
• SC - Single Crochet
• Inc - Increase (2 SC in the same stitch)
• Dec - Decrease (SC2tog)
• FO - Fasten off

Instructions:

1. Head
   • Using chenille yarn, start with a magic ring, SC 6 into the ring. (6)
   • Round 1: Inc in each st around. (12)
   • Round 2: *SC, Inc* around. (18)
   • Round 3: *SC 2, Inc* around. (24)
   • Round 4: *SC 3, Inc* around. (30)
   • Rounds 5-10: SC around. (30)
   • Round 11: *SC 3, Dec* around. (24)
   • Round 12: *SC 2, Dec* around. (18)
   • Round 13: *SC, Dec* around. (12)
   • Stuff the head.
   • Round 14: Dec around. (6)
   • FO, leave a long tail for sewing. Close the opening and weave in the end.
2. Body (Make 2)
   • Follow the same pattern as the head, but do not stuff the body pieces.
3. Tail
   • Using chenille yarn, Ch 6. SC in the 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. (5)
   • Continue to SC in each st for 5 rows. FO, leaving a tail for sewing.
   • Stuff lightly and attach to the back of the body.
4. Assembly:
   • Take one body piece and sew the head to the top.
   • Join the two body pieces together, leaving an opening for stuffing. Stuff firmly and close the opening.
   • Sew the tail to the back of the body.
