Materials

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (UK: Aran, Metric: 10ply)
• Crochet Hook: US H/8 (UK 6, Metric 5mm)

• Tapestry needle

Gauge

4" x 4" = 14 hdc x 12 rows

Abbreviations

• Ch: chain
• Hdc: half double crochet
• BLO: back loop only

Instructions

1. Ch 9

2. Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and across (8 hdc)

3. Ch 1, turn, hdc in BLO across (8 hdc)

4. Repeat step 3 until piece measures desired length

5. Bring the shorter edges together and slip stitch to join, creating a tube

6. Fasten off, leaving a long tail

7. Use the tail to cinch one end of the tube closed

8. Weave in ends and turn beanie right side out
