This pattern is inspired by the iconic TARDIS from Doctor Who. It will make a perfect pouch for your phone and show off your love for the timeless sci-fi series.
22 stitches x 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Using 4mm needles, cast on 40 sts.
Work in stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) for 40 rows.
Using duplicate stitch embroidery, create the TARDIS design on the front panel with white yarn.
Repeat steps 1-2 for the back panel.
With right sides facing, join front and back panels together using mattress stitch on the side and bottom edges. Leave the top edge open for the pouch.
Switch to 3.5mm needles. Pick up stitches along the top edge of the pouch.
Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 8 rows.
Bind off all stitches. Weave in any loose ends.
