Rounds 3-4: Knit.

Repeat Rounds 2-4 three more times. 44 (48, 52) stitches.

Hand

Next round: K1, slip marker, knit to next marker, slip marker, K1, slip marker, knit to next marker, slip marker, K1, slip marker, knit to next marker, slip marker, K1, slip marker.

Continue working in stranded colorwork pattern as follows:

Rounds 1-3: (MC, CC1, CC2) repeat to end of round.

Rounds 4-6: (CC2, MC, CC1) repeat to end of round.

Repeat Rounds 1-6 until work measures approximately 7 (7.5, 8) inches from cast-on edge, ending after a Round 6.

Next round: K1, slip marker, knit to next marker, slip marker, K1, slip marker, remove next 14 (14, 16) stitches and place onto waste yarn, slip marker, K1, slip marker, knit to next marker, slip marker, K1, slip marker.
