Ribbed Knitted Beanie Pattern

Materials:

Gauge:
18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in ribbing stitch.
Instructions:
- Using the circular needles, cast on 88 stitches loosely.
- Place marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
- Round 1: *K2, P2, repeat from * to end of round.
- Repeat Round 1 until the beanie measures 8 inches (20 cm) from the cast-on edge.
- Decrease rounds:
- Round 1: *K2, P2tog, repeat from * to end of round.
- Round 2: *K2, P1, repeat from * to end of round.
