Ribbed Knitted Beanie Pattern

This pattern will teach you how to make a cozy ribbed knitted beanie perfect for chilly days. Let's get started!

Materials:

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (UK Aran) in your choice of color. Approximately 200 yards (183 meters).
• Needles: 16-inch (40 cm) US 8 (UK 6, 5 mm) circular knitting needles and a set of US 8 (UK 6, 5 mm) double-pointed needles.
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch marker

Gauge:

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in ribbing stitch.

Instructions:

1. Using the circular needles, cast on 88 stitches loosely.
2. Place marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
3. Round 1: *K2, P2, repeat from * to end of round.
4. Repeat Round 1 until the beanie measures 8 inches (20 cm) from the cast-on edge.
5. Decrease rounds:
