Ribbed Lace Socks

Materials:
- Yarn: Fingering weight yarn (approximately 400 yards/100 grams)
- Needles: US 1 (2.25mm) double-pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
32 stitches and 40 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Pattern:
- Cast on 64 stitches, divide evenly between needles
- Join for working in the round, being careful not to twist
- Work *K2, P2* ribbing for 1 inch
- Begin lace pattern: Row 1: *K2, yo, ssk, k2tog, yo, K1*; repeat around. Row 2: Knit all stitches
- Continue lace pattern until sock measures approximately 6.5 inches from cast on edge
- Work in stockinette stitch for 1 inch
- Shape toe: *K1, ssk, k1, k2tog, K1*; repeat around. Knit one round even. Repeat these two rounds until 8 stitches remain
- Cut yarn, leaving a tail, thread tail through remaining stitches, pull tight and secure
- Weave in ends and block to shape
