Materials:

Gauge:

32 stitches and 40 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Pattern:

  1. Cast on 64 stitches, divide evenly between needles
  2. Join for working in the round, being careful not to twist
  3. Work *K2, P2* ribbing for 1 inch
  4. Begin lace pattern: Row 1: *K2, yo, ssk, k2tog, yo, K1*; repeat around. Row 2: Knit all stitches
  5. Continue lace pattern until sock measures approximately 6.5 inches from cast on edge
  6. Work in stockinette stitch for 1 inch
  7. Shape toe: *K1, ssk, k1, k2tog, K1*; repeat around. Knit one round even. Repeat these two rounds until 8 stitches remain
  8. Cut yarn, leaving a tail, thread tail through remaining stitches, pull tight and secure
  9. Weave in ends and block to shape
