Ribbed Twist Beanie

This cozy ribbed twist beanie is perfect for keeping warm during the colder months. The twisted stitches give it a unique texture and style.

Materials:

• Yarn: Medium weight yarn (UK - Aran, US - Worsted) - 100g (180m)
• Needles: 1 set of US 7 (UK 7, 4.5mm) double-pointed needles or circular needles
• Cable needle
• Stitch marker
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

20 stitches x 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions:

1. Cast on 88 stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist. Place marker at beginning of round.
2. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 8 inches.
3. Twisted Stitch Pattern (worked over 8 rounds):
   • Rounds 1-4: Knit
   • Round 5: *Knit through the back loop, purl 1; repeat from * to end of round
   • Round 6: Knit
   • Rounds 7-8: Knit
4. Repeat Twisted Stitch Pattern 4 more times.
5. Decrease rounds:
   • Round 1: *K2tog, P2, SSK, P2; repeat from * to end of round
   • Round 2: Knit
   • Round 3: *K2tog, P2, SSK; repeat from * to end of round
   • Round 4: Knit
   • Round 5: *K2tog, P2tog; repeat from * to end of round
   • Round 6: Knit
   • Round 7: *K2tog; repeat from * to end of round
6. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches, pull tight and weave in ends.
