Gauge:

Instructions:
- Cast on 80 stitches.
- Rows 1-4: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of row.
- Rows 5-8: Knit all stitches.
- Rows 9-12: Purl all stitches.
- Repeat rows 5-12 until the hat measures 8 inches from the cast-on edge, ending with a purl row.
- Begin decrease rounds:
