# Bunny Rabbit with Carrot Crochet Pattern

A sweet beginner-friendly amigurumi bunny holding a carrot! This pattern uses basic shapes and simple construction to create an adorable 5-6 inch tall bunny friend. Perfect for learning amigurumi techniques.

## Materials

**Yarn:**

### CARROT GREENS (Make 3-4)

With green yarn:

## Assembly

**Step 1 - Face:**
If you didn't use safety eyes, embroider eyes with black yarn between rounds 8-9 of head, approximately 6 stitches apart (use small circles of satin stitch or French knots). Embroider a small upside-down triangle nose with pink yarn between and slightly below the eyes. Embroider a simple Y-shaped mouth below the nose with black yarn.

**Step 2 - Ears:**
Position ears on top of head, angled slightly outward. The base of each ear should be at approximately round 3-4 of the head. Sew securely with the long tails, using whip stitch around the base of each ear.

**Step 3 - Head to Body:**
Pin head to body, ensuring it sits securely on top. The head should cover the top opening of the body. Sew all the way around using whip stitch, adding a bit more stuffing to neck area if needed for stability.

**Step 4 - Arms:**
Position arms on sides of body at approximately round 6-7 (just below where head attaches). Sew securely to body, allowing them to angle slightly forward.

**Step 5 - Legs:**
Position legs at bottom front of body so bunny can sit. Space them evenly apart. Sew securely, ensuring bunny is balanced and can sit upright.

**Step 6 - Tail:**
Attach tail to center back of body, approximately at the same level as the arms. Sew securely.

**Step 7 - Carrot Top:**
Take 3-4 carrot greens and layer them. Sew together at the base, then sew into the top opening of the carrot. Pull tight to close carrot opening while securing the greens.

**Step 8 - Optional Carrot Details:**
With orange yarn, use surface slip stitch or back stitch to create 2-3 horizontal lines around the carrot for texture detail.

**Step 9 - Final Touch:**
Position carrot in bunny's arms or sew to one arm/paw to secure in place.

## Finishing

Weave in all remaining ends. Give your bunny a gentle brush if using fuzzy yarn. For pink cheeks, use pink yarn to make a few small stitches in a circle on each side of face (optional).

## Care Instructions

Hand wash gently in cool water if needed. Lay flat to dry. Not recommended for children under 3 if using safety eyes (choking hazard).
