Variegated Triangle Shawl Pattern

This bottom-up knitted shawl features eyelet edging on the sides only. The pattern includes sections of stockinette stitch and eyelet lace, alternating in equal chunks until the shawl reaches a wingspan of 100 inches.

Materials:

Gauge:

24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions:

  1. Cast on 3 stitches
  2. Row 1: Knit
  3. Row 2: K1, yo, k to end
  4. Repeat Row 2 until you have 45 rows
  5. Next 18 rows: Eyelet Lace Pattern (see below)
  6. Next 45 rows: Stockinette stitch
  7. Repeat Eyelet Lace Pattern for 18 rows
  8. Continue alternating between Stockinette stitch and Eyelet Lace until the shawl measures 100 inches along the top edge
  9. Bind off all stitches
  10. Weave in ends and block your shawl to shape

Row 1: K1, *yo, k2tog; repeat from * to last stitch, k1

Row 2: Purl

Row 3: Knit

Row 4: Purl

Row 5: K2, *yo, k2tog; repeat from * to last stitch, k1

Row 6: Purl
