3-6 Month Pull-On Knitted Hoodie Pattern

This pattern is for a cozy pull-on hoodie for babies aged 3-6 months. The hoodie is knitted from the bottom up, all in one piece, making it a seamless project.

Materials

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (UK: Aran, Metric: 10ply), approximately 200g
• Needles: US 8 / UK 6 / 5mm circular needles
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers
• Scissors

Gauge

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions

1. Back: Cast on 50 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 6 inches.

2. Hood: Increase 1 stitch at each end of next row. Repeat the increase every 8th row 5 more times. Work even until hood measures 8 inches.

3. Front: With the back and hood on the needles, pick up and knit 24 stitches across the hood. Knit across the 50 back stitches. Pick up and knit 24 stitches across the other side of the hood.

4. Work in stockinette stitch until front measures the same length as the back. Bind off all stitches.

5. Sleeves: Pick up stitches around the armhole opening. Knit in the round until sleeve measures 6 inches. Bind off.

6. Finishing: Sew hood seam. Weave in ends. Block if desired.
