Boatneck Cotton Sweater with Wide Sleeves

Instructions:
- Back:
- Using straight needles, cast on 80 (90, 100, 110) stitches.
- Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 14 (15, 16, 17) inches from cast on edge.
- Shape armholes:
- Bind off 6 (6, 7, 7) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
- Decrease 1 stitch at each end of the next 2 rows. (68, 78, 86, 96 stitches)
- Continue working until armhole measures 8 (8.5, 9, 9.5) inches, ending with a wrong side row.
Front:- Work as for back until armhole measures 6.5 (7, 7.5, 8) inches.
- Shape neckline:
- At the beginning of the next 2 rows, bind off 8 (8, 9, 9) center stitches.
- Continue on each side, working one side at a time, binding off 3 stitches at the neck edge every other row. (26, 36, 40, 46 stitches)
Sleeves:- Using double-pointed needles, cast on 40 (42, 44, 46) stitches.
- Work in stockinette stitch, increasing 1 stitch at each end every 8th row 5 times. (50, 52, 54, 56 stitches)
Continue working until sleeve measures 17 (17.5, 18, 18.5) inches, ending with a wrong side row.Finishing:
- Block all pieces to measurements.
- Join shoulder seams.
- Sew side and sleeve seams.
- Pick up and knit stitches around neckline with circular needles. Work in ribbing for 1 inch and bind off loosely.
- Attach sleeves.
- Weave in all ends.
