Pattern
- Using long tail cast on, cast on 64 stitches.
- Place marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist.
- Round 1: *Brk1 (brioche knit 1), brp1 (brioche purl 1); repeat from * around.
- Repeat Round 1 until hat measures 8 inches from cast on edge.
- Crown decreases:
- Round 1: *Brk1, brp1, k2tog; repeat from * around.
- Round 2: *Brk1, brp1, k2tog; repeat from * around.
- Round 3: *Brk1, brp1, k2tog; repeat from * around.
- Round 4: *Brk1, k2tog; repeat from * around.
- Round 5: *Brk1, k2tog; repeat from * around.
- Round 6: *K2tog; repeat from * around.
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close.
- Weave in ends and block gently to shape.
