Instructions:
- Back: Cast on 80 (88, 96, 104) sts. Work in stockinette stitch for 4 inches.
- Begin cable pattern: Row 1 (RS): K4, *Cable 6 back (C6B), K6; repeat from * to last 4 sts, K4. Row 2 (WS): Purl across.
- Continue in cable pattern until piece measures 12 (12.5, 13, 13.5) inches from cast on edge.
- Shape armholes: Bind off 6 (7, 8, 9) sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Decrease 1 st at each armhole edge every other row 3 times.
- Front: Work as for back until armholes measure 8 (8.5, 9, 9.5) inches.
- Shape neck: Work across 20 (22, 24, 26) sts, place on holder. Work across center 40 (44, 48, 52) sts in cable pattern for 6 inches. Bind off for neck the center 20 (22, 24, 26) sts, then complete each side separately.
- Continue in cable pattern, shaping neck edge as for back.
- Join yarn at neck edge and work each side of neck in cable pattern to match opposite side.
- Sleeves: Pick up and knit 40 (44, 48, 52) sts around armhole. Work in stockinette stitch, decreasing 1 st at each end every 4th row 6 times.
- Work even until sleeve measures 18 (18.5, 19, 19.5) inches.
- Bind off all sts.
