Cute Cat Sweater Pattern
This adorable cat sweater will keep you warm and stylish all winter long!
Materials:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in 4 colors - A (Main Color), B (Contrast Color 1), C (Contrast Color 2), D (Contrast Color 3)
- US Needle Size: 7 / 4.5mm
- UK Old Needle Size: 7
- Metric Needle Size: 4.5mm
Gauge:
20 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Size:
One size fits most (adjustable)
Instructions:
- Using Color A, cast on 100 stitches.
- Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 10 inches from cast on edge.
- Switch to Color B and knit 2 rows.
- Using Color A, knit 4 rows.
- Continue alternating colors in stockinette stitch until piece measures 18 inches from cast on edge.
- Shape armholes by binding off 6 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
- Continue in pattern until piece measures 24 inches from cast on edge.
- Shape neck by binding off center 20 stitches and working each side separately.
- Continue working each side, decreasing 1 stitch at neck edge every other row, until 3 stitches remain.
- Bind off all stitches.
- Join yarn at shoulder edge and pick up stitches along armhole.
- Work in stockinette stitch for 8 inches.
- Bind off all stitches.
- Repeat for second armhole.
- Weave in all ends and block sweater to measurements.
