This pattern is written for adult sizes S (M, L, XL).
Back:
Using the long-tail cast on method, cast on 80 (88, 96, 104) stitches.
Continue with the following pattern until the piece measures 20 (21, 22, 23) inches from the cast on edge:Row 1: Knit all stitches.
Row 2: Purl all stitches.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until the desired length.Next row: Knit all stitches.
Continue in stocking stitch until the work measures 25 (26, 27, 28) inches from the cast on edge. Bind off all stitches.
Front:
Follow instructions for the Back until the work measures 18 (19, 20, 21) inches in length.
Next row: Knit 36 (40, 44, 48) stitches, place the next 8 stitches on a stitch holder or scrap yarn, knit across the remaining 36 (40, 44, 48) stitches.
Continue in stocking stitch over the first set of stitches for another 7 inches, then bind off all stitches.

Using the tapestry needle and mattress stitch, sew the shoulder seams together.
Using the tapestry needle and mattress stitch, sew the side seams together.
With the crochet hook, work a border of single crochet around the neckline, cuffs, and hem of the jumper.
Weave in any remaining ends.
