Gauge

18 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions

1. Using the long-tail cast on method, cast on 90 (S), 100 (M), 110 (L), 120 (XL) stitches in red yarn.
2. Work in knit 2, purl 2 ribbing for 2 inches.
3. Switch to green yarn and knit in stockinette stitch until the piece measures 10 (S), 11 (M), 12 (L), 13 (XL) inches from the cast on edge.
4. For the front, create a tree motif using white and gold yarns in the center of the jumper.
5. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch in red yarn, shaping the neckline and armholes as needed.
6. Knit the back piece in the same manner as the front.
7. Join the front and back pieces at the shoulders using the mattress stitch.
8. Pick up stitches along the neckline and knit ribbing for 1 inch.
9. Finish off the armholes and bottom hem with ribbing as well.
10. Weave in any loose ends and block the jumper to size.
