14 stitches and 20 rounds = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch using larger needles

This pattern is worked in the round.
Instructions are given for size Adult. Adjustments for a custom fit can be made by increasing or decreasing the number of cast-on stitches in multiples of 4.

With smaller circular needles, cast on 80 stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.

Round 1: *K2, P2. Repeat from * around.

Work cable pattern rounds 1-12 as follows:

Switch to DPNs when necessary. Continue decrease rounds as established until 8 stitches remain.

Cut yarn, leaving a tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close. Weave in ends.
