Ikat Raglan Sweater Knitting Pattern

Materials:

Instructions:

1. Using Color A and US 8 needles, cast on 100 (110, 120, 130) stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
2. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 2 inches.
3. Switch to Color B and knit every round for 4 inches.
4. Join Color A and begin raglan increases:

Round 1: K1, M1R, knit to last stitch, M1L, K1

5. Continue raglan increases every other round until you have X (X, X, X) stitches between the markers for the underarms.
6. Remove markers for sleeves and knit across the front and back stitches.
7. Place markers for front and back sections.
8. Continue working in stockinette stitch until the body measures 15 (16, 17, 18) inches from the cast on edge.
9. Separate the sleeves:

Next round: K X (X, X, X) sleeve stitches, place the next X (X, X, X) stitches on hold for sleeve, cast on 8 (8, 10, 10) underarm stitches, knit across the back, place the next X (X, X, X) stitches on hold for sleeve, cast on 8 (8, 10, 10) underarm stitches, knit across the front.

10. Join to work in the round and continue knitting the body.
11. Work in stockinette stitch until the body measures 20 (21, 22, 23) inches from the cast on edge.
12. Switch to Color B and knit every round for 4 inches.
13. Switch back to Color A and work in K2, P2 ribbing for 2 inches.
14. Bind off all stitches loosely in pattern.
15. Weave in ends and block the sweater to measurements.
