Knitted Pothos Plant

Materials Needed
- Yarn - Medium weight yarn in green for leaves and brown for stems. Approx. 50 grams of each color.
- Knitting needles - US size 7 (4.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Fiberfill stuffing - A small amount for stuffing the plant.
- Tapestry needle - For weaving in ends and sewing the parts together.
- Scissors - For cutting yarn.

Pattern Instructions
Stems (make 2)
- With brown yarn, cast on 4 stitches.
- Row 1: Knit all stitches.
- Continue working in stockinette stitch until the stem measures approximately 6 inches or desired length.
- Bind off all stitches.
- Repeat the above steps to make the second stem.
Leaves
- With green yarn, cast on 6 stitches.
- Row 1: Knit all stitches.
- Row 2: Purl all stitches.
- Row 3: K1, M1R, knit until there is 1 stitch remaining, M1L, K1.
- Row 4: Purl all stitches.
- Repeat rows 3 and 4 four more times.
- Row 13: Purl all stitches.
- Row 14: K1, SSK, knit until there are 2 stitches remaining, K2TOG, K1.
- Row 15: Purl all stitches.
- Row 16: Knit all stitches.
- Repeat rows 13-16 six more times.
- Bind off all stitches.
- Repeat the above steps to make as many leaves as desired.
Assembly
- Take one stem and attach the leaves to the top by sewing them in place. Arrange the leaves in a way that mimics the natural growth pattern of a pothos plant.
- Repeat the previous step for the second stem, making sure to place the leaves in a slightly different arrangement for a more natural look.
- Once the leaves are securely attached, sew the stems together at the base using the tapestry needle and brown yarn.
- Stuff the stems lightly with fiberfill stuffing to give them some shape.
- Weave in any loose ends and trim excess yarn.
