Pattern

1. Cast on 100 stitches, join in the round being careful not to twist.
2. Ribbing round: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end.
3. Knit in stockinette stitch for 1 inch.
4. Begin lace panel pattern:
5. Round 1: *K2tog, YO, K3, YO, SSK; repeat from * to end.
6. Rounds 2-6: Knit all stitches.
7. Repeat Rounds 1-6 for lace pattern until piece measures 7 inches from cast on edge.
8. Shape crown:
9. Round 1: *K2tog, K3, SSK; repeat from * to end.
10. Round 2: Knit all stitches.
11. Round 3: *K2tog, K1, SSK; repeat from * to end.
12. Round 4: Knit all stitches.
13. Cut yarn, leaving a tail, and thread through remaining stitches, pull tight and secure.
