Stockinette Stitch: 16 stitches x 22 rows = 4 inches / 10cm

Pattern

  1. Using US 7 / UK 7 / 4.5mm needles, cast on 108 (120, 132, 144) stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
  2. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 2 inches.
  3. Change to US 9 / UK 5 / 5.5mm needles.
  4. Begin colorwork yoke chart, following the colorwork design with main color and contrasting color.
  5. Continue in stockinette stitch until work measures 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5) inches from the cast-on edge.
  6. Shape armholes by casting off 4 (5, 6, 7) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
  7. Continue working in stockinette stitch until armholes measure 8.5 (9, 9.5, 10) inches.
  8. Place sleeve stitches on hold and continue working the body.
  9. Work even until body measures 16 (17, 18, 19) inches in total.
  10. Join sleeves with body and continue working in the round.
  11. Work in K2, P2 ribbing for 2 inches.
  12. Bind off in pattern.
  13. Weave in all ends and block the sweater to measurements.
