Unicorn Beanie Pattern

Materials:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (UK Aran, 10 ply) in white, pink, and rainbow colors
- Needles: US 8 (UK 6, 5mm) circular knitting needles and double-pointed needles

- Stuffing for the horn
Gauge:
18 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
Instructions:
- Cast on: With white yarn, cast on 80 stitches on circular needles. Join in the round, being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker at the beginning of the round.
- Body: Knit in the round in stockinette stitch (knit every round) for 6 inches.
- Decrease rounds: *K8, k2tog* repeat around. Knit 1 round even. *K7, k2tog* repeat around. Knit 1 round even. Continue in this manner, decreasing stitches by 1 each decrease round until 8 stitches remain.
- Finishing: Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches, pull tight to close the top of the beanie. Weave in ends.
- Earflaps (make 2): With pink yarn, pick up 12 stitches on the side of the beanie. Knit in garter stitch (knit every row) for 3 inches. Bind off.
- Unicorn Horn: With rainbow colors, knit an i-cord using double-pointed needles to desired length (approximately 6 inches). Stuff the horn lightly with stuffing. Attach to the top of the beanie.
- Finishing touches: Embroider eyes and nostrils with black yarn. Sew on pink yarn for the mane.
