# **Boho Bandage Maxi Dress with Deep Scoop Neckline**

A figure-hugging maxi dress featuring stretchy bandage-style construction, romantic lace panels, and a dramatic deep scoop neckline. This vintage-inspired piece combines structure with bohemian flair, perfect for special occasions or beach coverup elegance.

## **MATERIALS**

**Yarn:** 
- 1800-2000 yards worsted weight yarn (#4) with good drape and stretch recovery
- Suggested: mercerized cotton, cotton/acrylic blend, or bamboo blend
- Sample shown in DK weight cotton/bamboo blend

**Hook:** 
- US Size H/8 (5.0 mm) for main body
- US Size G/6 (4.0 mm) for bodice and straps

**Notions:**
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Optional: 1/2 yard lining fabric for bodice
- Optional: bra cups for support

**Gauge:**
- 14 hdc x 11 rows = 4" (10 cm) in bandage stitch with larger hook, slightly stretched
- 16 hdc x 12 rows = 4" (10 cm) with smaller hook
- **Gauge is critical for proper fit!**

## **SPECIAL STITCHES**

**Bandage Stitch:** Hdc worked in back loops only, creating horizontal ribbing with stretch.

**Beginning hdc (beg-hdc):** Ch 2 (does not count as st), hdc in same st.

## **PATTERN NOTES**

1. Dress is worked from bottom up in joined rounds to underarm, then front and back are worked separately.
2. Turning chain of ch 2 at beginning of round does NOT count as a stitch throughout.
3. Stitch count is given in parentheses at end of each round/row.
4. Use stitch markers to mark beginning of rounds and key shaping points.
5. The bandage stitch creates horizontal stretch - the negative ease is intentional.
