## Pattern Notes

- Ch 3 at beginning of dc rows counts as first dc.

## FLORAL MOTIF (Make 6 total — 3 for front, 3 for back)

Vary Colors B, C, and D combinations for a colorful scatter. Each motif = 4" square.

**With Color D (center), ch 4; join with sl st to form ring.**

**Rnd 1 (center):** Ch 1, 8 sc in ring; join with sl st to first sc. *(8 sc)*. Fasten off D.

**Rnd 2 (petals):** Join Color B (or C) to any sc. In each sc around: (sc, 2 dc, sc) — creating 8 petals. Join with sl st. *(8 petals)*. Fasten off.

**Rnd 3 (leaves/background — square the motif):** Join Color D to the back loop of any petal-base sc (work behind petals). Ch 1, *sc in back of petal, ch 3;* rep around (8 ch-3 sps). Join. 

**Rnd 4 (square frame):** Join Color A to any ch-3 sp. 
- Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp (first corner started), *ch 1, 3 dc in next sp, ch 1, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in next sp (corner);* rep from * around, ending with ch 1, 3 dc in last sp, ch 1, 3 dc in beginning sp, ch 2, join with sl st to top of ch-3.

Fasten off, leaving a 12" tail for sewing. Motif measures ~4" square.

**With Color A, ch 72 (68, 80, 86, 94).**

**Ribbing:**

**Body (double crochet):**

**Repeat increase every 4th row** a total of **9 (10, 10, 11, 12) times** until you have **49 (51, 55, 57, 63) dc**.

Continue even in dc until sleeve measures **17"** from cast-on edge (~34 rows total).

**Sleeve cap:**
**Row 1:** Sl st across first 4 sts, ch 3, dc across until 4 sts remain, turn.
**Rows 2–5:** Ch 3, turn, dc2tog, dc across to last 2 sts, dc2tog.
**Row 6:** Sl st across first 2, ch 3, dc across to last 2, leave unworked. Fasten off.

## ASSEMBLY

1. **Block** all pieces to measurements.
2. **Sew motifs:** Arrange 3 floral motifs on the Front panel and 3 on the Back, scattered decoratively on the upper chest/yoke area (not in the armhole or neck shaping zones). Using long tails and tapestry needle, whip stitch motifs in place.
3. **Shoulder seams:** With RS together, whip stitch or sl st shoulder seams.
4. **Set in sleeves:** Center sleeve cap at shoulder seam; pin and sew into armhole.
5. **Side and sleeve seams:** With RS together, seam from underarm down to cuff, then from underarm down each side of body.

## NECKBAND

With RS facing, join Color A at right shoulder seam.
**Rnd 1:** Ch 1, work sc evenly around neckline (approximately 72 sts), join with sl st.
**Rnds 2–4:** Ch 1, sc in BLO in each st around; join.
Fasten off.

*Optional:* Add a final round in Color B or C for a contrast pop.
