Christmas Tree Knitting Pattern
This pattern will create a 30cm tall Christmas tree using straight needles.
Materials
- Yarn: Medium weight yarn (US), Double Knitting (UK), approx. 100g in green
- Needles: 4mm (US 6, UK 8) straight knitting needles
- Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
Gauge
Gauge is not crucial for this pattern.
Instructions
Tree:
- Cast on 30 stitches.
- Row 1: Knit across.
- Row 2: *K1, P1* across.
- Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures 28cm.
- Next row: Knit across.
- Next row: *K2tog* across (15 stitches remaining).
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close.
- Seam the side seam using mattress stitch, stuff firmly with polyester fiberfill as you go.
- Weave in any remaining ends.
Finishing
Shape the tree as desired. You can add decorations like beads, buttons, or embroidered designs to customize your tree.
