Christmas Tree Knitting Pattern
This Christmas tree pattern features a textured design with 60 stitches which can be knit on straight needles.
Materials:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn
- Needles: US 8 / UK 6 / 5 mm straight needles
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
Not critical for this project
Instructions:
- Cast on 60 stitches
- Row 1: Knit all stitches
- Row 2: Purl all stitches
- Repeat Rows 1-2 until desired length
- Decrease Rows:
- Row 1: *K1, k2tog, repeat from * to end of row
- Row 2: Purl all stitches
- Row 3: *K2tog, repeat from * to end of row
- Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining stitches and pull tight to close the top of the tree.
- Finishing: Sew in any loose ends and block your work to shape the tree.
