Instructions:

  1. Back Panel: Cast on 100 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 20 rows.

  2. Next row (RS): K20, P60, K20

  3. Next row (WS): P20, K60, P20

  4. Continue working in stockinette stitch, following the cat stitch chart below:

  1. Continue until the back panel measures 20" from cast on edge.

  2. Front Panels (make 2): Cast on 50 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 20 rows.

  3. Next row (RS): K20, P10, K20

  4. Next row (WS): P20, K10, P20

  5. Continue working in stockinette stitch, following the cat stitch chart.

  6. Continue until the front panels measure 15" from cast on edge.

  7. Joining Front and Back Panels: With RS facing, place front panels on either side of back panel, overlapping at the shoulders. Use the mattress stitch to seam the shoulders.

  8. Sleeves (make 2): Cast on 40 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 15 rows.

  9. Next row (RS): K20, P40, K20

  10. Next row (WS): P20, K40, P20

  11. Continue working in stockinette stitch, following the cat stitch chart.

  12. Continue until the sleeves measure 18" from cast on edge.

  13. Finishing: Seam the sides and sleeves using the mattress stitch. Weave in any loose ends and block the sweater to shape.
