Husky Jumper Knitting Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Bulky weight yarn (UK Chunky, Metric 12 ply) in color of your choice
• Knitting Needles: US 10 (UK 6, Metric 6mm) and US 15 (UK 000, Metric 10mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

14 stitches x 18 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch using US 10 needles

One size fits most (oversized fit)

Instructions:

1. Using US 10 needles, cast on 80 stitches.
2. Work in rib stitch (k1, p1) for 4 inches.
3. Switch to US 15 needles and knit in stockinette stitch until piece measures 20 inches from the cast on edge.
4. Shape neck: Bind off center 20 stitches, knit to end. Working on each side of the neck, decrease 1 stitch at neck edge every other row 3 times. Work even until piece measures 25 inches from cast on edge.
5. Join yarn at neck edge and work each side of neck separately. Decrease 1 stitch at neck edge every other row 3 times. Work even until piece measures 27 inches from cast on edge.
6. Join front and back at shoulders using three-needle bind off.
7. With US 10 needles, pick up and knit stitches around neckline. Work in rib stitch (k1, p1) for 3 inches. Bind off in pattern.
8. Sew side seams.
9. Weave in ends and block to measurements.
