Blue Worsted Weight Yarn

Gauge

20 stitches x 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Pattern

  1. Using blue yarn, cast on 40 stitches.
  2. Work in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) for 10 inches.
  3. On the next row, knit 15, bind off 10 stitches for the phone screen, knit the remaining 15 stitches.
  4. Work each side separately. Bind off 1 stitch at the beginning of each row for 10 rows on the phone screen side.
  5. Next row, bind off 3 stitches at the beginning of the phone screen side, continue knitting across.
  6. Continue working in stockinette stitch for 15 rows.
  7. Cast on 10 stitches at the beginning of the next row to create the top of the TARDIS.
  8. Work in garter stitch (knit every row) for 5 rows.
  9. Switch to white yarn and work 3 rows in garter stitch.
  10. Switch back to blue yarn and work 3 rows in garter stitch.
  11. Bind off all stitches. Fold the piece in half and sew the side seams.
  12. Using black yarn, embroider windows and details on the pouch.
  13. Attach a button to the front for closure.
  14. Weave in any loose ends and trim excess yarn.
  15. Your TARDIS phone pouch is ready to use!
