Mens Jumper Knitting Pattern

This pattern is designed for a classic men's jumper using DK weight yarn.

Materials:

• Yarn: DK weight yarn
• Needles: US 6 (4 mm), UK 8, Metric 4 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.

Sizes:

This pattern is written in sizes S (M, L, XL, XXL). Shown in size M.

Instructions:

1. Back: Cast on 100 (110, 120, 130, 140) stitches. Work in stockinette stitch until piece measures 16 (17, 18, 19, 20) inches from cast on edge.
2. Front: Repeat Back instructions.
3. Sleeves (Make 2): Cast on 40 (42, 44, 46, 48) stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 14 (15, 16, 17, 18) inches.
4. Neckline: On next row, divide for neck and work each side separately. Bind off center 20 (22, 24, 26, 28) stitches. Work each side of neck in stockinette stitch for 3 inches. Bind off.
5. Finishing: Seam shoulders. Sew sleeves to body. Seam sides. Weave in ends.
