This pattern is inspired by the one and only Sauron from The Lord of the Rings. This festive jumper will definitely make you stand out during the holiday season!
20 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch using US 8 needles
Back Panel:
Using red yarn and US 6 needles, cast on 60 (S), 70 (M), 80 (L) stitches. Work in 2x2 rib for 2 inches. Switch to US 8 needles and continue in stockinette stitch until piece measures 12 (S), 13 (M), 14 (L) inches from cast on edge.
Continue with Sauron motif:
Switch to black yarn and follow the chart for the Sauron motif. Use the intarsia method for color changes.
Front Panel:
Work same as back panel until piece measures 8 (S), 9 (M), 10 (L) inches from cast on edge. Shape neck by binding off center 20 (S), 24 (M), 28 (L) stitches and working each side separately.
Sew shoulder seams together. Pick up stitches around the neck and work in 2x2 rib for 1 inch. Sew side seams. Weave in all ends and block your jumper to measurements.
